ABSTRACT

In non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),the heterogeneity promotes drug resistance, and the restricted expression of programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1)limits the immunotherapy benefits.Based on the mechanisms related to translation regulation and the association with PD-L1 of methyltransferase-like 3(METTL3),the novel small-molecule inhibitor STM2457 is assumed to be useful for the treat-ment of NSCLC.We evaluated the efficacy of STM2457 in vivo and in vitro and confirmed the effects of its inhibition on disease progression.Next,we explored the effect of STM2457 on METTL3 and revealed its effects on the inhibition of catalytic activity and upregulation of METTL3 protein expression.Importantly,we described the genome-wide characteristics of multiple omics data ac-quired from RNA sequencing, ribosome profiling, and methylated RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing data under STM2457 treatment or METTL3 knockout. We also constructed a model for the regulation of the translation of METTL3 and PD-L1.Finally,we found PD-Ll upregulation by STM2457 in vivo and in vitro. In conclusion,STM2457 is a potential novel suppressor based on its inhibitory effect on tumor progression and may be able to overcome the heterogeneity based on its impact on the translatome.Furthermore,it can improve the immunotherapy outcomes based on PD-L1 upregulation in NSCLC.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To study the feasibility and potential benefits of beam angle optimization (BAO) to automated planning in liver cancer.@*METHODS@#An approach of beam angle sampling is proposed to implement BAO along with the module Auto-planning in treatment planning system (TPS) Pinnacle. An in-house developed plan quality metric (PQM) is taken as the preferred evaluating method during the sampling. The process is driven automatically by in-house made Pinnacle scripts both in sampling and scoring. In addition, dosimetry analysis and physician's opinion are also performed as the supplementary and compared with the result of PQM.@*RESULTS@#It is revealed by the numerical analysis of PQM scores that only 15% patients whose superior trials evaluated by PQM are also the initial trials. Gantry optimization can bring benefit to plan quality along with auto-planning in liver cancer. Similar results are provided by both dose comparison and physician's opinion.@*CONCLUSIONS@#It is possible to introduce a full automated approach of beam angle optimization to automated planning process. The advantages of this procedure can be observed both in numerical analysis and physician's opinion.

ABSTRACT

An automatic ash-removal heat-sensitive moxibustion device was developed, which could keep relatively constant temperature of heat-sensitive moxibustion, and realize the automatic ignition and automatic ash removal of moxa sticks during heat-sensitive moxibustion. The automatic ash-removal heat-sensitive moxibustion device comprises a bracket and a moxibustion box fixed on the top of the bracket; the bracket is composed of a base and a movable telescopic arm. This device can solve the problems of temperature instability, moxa ash blocking heat transfer and moxa ash falling during heat-sensitive moxibustion, avoiding the scalding caused by moxa ash falling, and reduce the workload of medical staff.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore the predictive values of the modified Baux score, Belgian Outcome in Burn Injury score, and Ryan score on the death risk of severe burn patients. Methods: A retrospective case series study was conducted. From February 2018 to November 2019, 260 severe burn patients who met the inclusion criteria were admitted to the Department of Burns of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, including 158 males and 102 females, aged 36 (3, 53) years. According to the final outcome, the patients were divided into survival group (n=229) and death group (n=31). Data of patients were compared and statistically analyzed with chi-square test or Mann-Whitney U test between the two groups, including the gender, age, cause of burn, site of burn, total burn area, depth of burn, combined inhalation injury, and combined underlying diseases on admission, and the modified Baux score, Belgian Outcome in Burn Injury score, and Ryan score calculated based on part of the aforementioned data. The Kendall tau-b coefficient method was used to analyze the consistency of the above-mentioned three scores in 260 severe burn patients. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves of the above-mentioned three scores predicting the death risk of 260 severe burn patients were drawn, and the area under the curve (AUC), the optimal threshold, and the sensitivity and specificity under the optimal threshold were calculated. The quality of AUC of the above-mentioned three scores was compared by Delong test. Results: The gender, site of burn, and depth of burn of patients between the two groups were all similar (P>0.05). The age, total burn area, proportion of flame burn, proportion of combined inhalation injury, and proportion of combined underlying diseases of patients in death group were significantly higher than those in survival group (with Z values of 5.53 and 17.78, respectively, χ2 values of 16.23, 15.89, and 17.78, respectively, P<0.01); the modified Baux score, Belgian Outcome in Burn Injury score, and Ryan score of patients in death group were 142 (115, 155), 7 (5, 7), 2 (2, 3), all significantly higher than 64 (27, 87), 1 (0, 3), 0 (0, 1) in survival group (with Z values of 7.91, 7.64, and 7.61, respectively, P<0.01). In 260 severe burn patients, the results between the modified Baux score and Ryan score, modified Baux score and Belgian Outcome in Burn Injury score, Ryan score and Belgian Outcome in Burn Injury score were significantly consistent (with Kendall tau-b coefficients of 0.75, 0.71, and 0.86, respectively, P<0.01). The AUCs of ROC curves of the modified Baux score, Belgian Outcome in Burn Injury score, and Ryan score for predicting the death risk of 260 severe burn patients were 0.92, 0.89, and 0.85, respectively (with 95% confidence intervals of 0.86-0.98, 0.83-0.95, and 0.78-0.93, respectively, P<0.01); the optimal thresholds were 106.5, 4.5, and 1.5 points, respectively; the sensitivity under the optimal threshold were 88.5%, 76.9%, and 73.1%, respectively, and the specificity under the optimal threshold were 88.5%, 87.2%, and 86.3%, respectively. The modified Baux score was similar to Belgian Outcome in Burn Injury score in the AUC quality (z=1.25, P>0.05), which were both significantly better than the AUC quality of Ryan score (with z values of 2.35 and 2.11, respectively, P<0.05). Conclusions: The modified Baux score, Belgian Outcome in Burn Injury score, and Ryan score have good ability in predicting the death risk of severe burn patients. From the perspective of clinical practice, the modified Baux score is more suitable as a predictive tool for the prognosis of severe burn patients.

ABSTRACT

The development of nanomedicine has recently achieved several breakthroughs in the field of cancer treatment; however, biocompatibility and targeted penetration of these nanomaterials remain as limitations, which lead to serious side effects and significantly narrow the scope of their application. The self-assembly of intermediate filaments with arginine-glycine-aspartate (RGD) peptide (RGD-IFP) was triggered by the hydrophobic cationic molecule 7-amino actinomycin D (7-AAD) to synthesize a bifunctional nanoparticle that could serve as a fluorescent imaging probe to visualize tumor treatment. The designed RGD-IFP peptide possessed the ability to encapsulate 7-AAD molecules through the formation of hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions by a one-step method. This fluorescent nanoprobe with RGD peptide could be targeted for delivery into tumor cells and released in acidic environments such as endosomes/lysosomes, ultimately inducing cytotoxicity by arresting tumor cell cycling with inserted DNA. It is noteworthy that the RGD-IFP/7-AAD nanoprobe tail-vein injection approach demonstrated not only high tumor-targeted imaging potential, but also potent antitumor therapeutic effects in vivo. The proposed strategy may be used in peptide-driven bifunctional nanoparticles for precise imaging and cancer therapy.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Osteoporosis attacks approximately 10% of the population worldwide. Sika Deer (Cervus nippon), one of China's precious traditional medicinal animals, has been widely recorded in ancient Chinese medical books and claimed for centuries to have numerous medical benefits including bone strengthening. This study aimed to find the use of Sika Deer bone in treating osteoporosis according to traditional records and to investigate the protective effect of Sika Deer bone polypeptide extract on glucocorticoidinduced osteoporosis (GIOP) in rats. RESULTS: Sika Deer bone polypeptide extract could increase serum Ca2+ and BGP, decrease serum P3+, ALP, PTH, and CT, but had no effect on serum NO in rats with GIOP. The immunohistochemical iNOS results of the rats' distal femur were negative in each group. Besides the model group, the eNOS color reaction in osteoblasts was strongly positive in the other three groups. CONCLUSIONS: Sika Deer bone polypeptide extract can improve pathological changes in the microstructure and stimulate the expression of eNOS in osteoblasts. The protective effect on bone might be mediated by eNOS-dependent NO generation.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To preliminarily explore the effects of tumor treating fields (TTF) arrays on the dose distribution in the treatment of Glioblastoma (GBM) using combined radiotherapy and concurrent TTF.Methods:EDR2 and MatriXX plate ionization chamber were employed to measure the absorbed doses of tissues at different depths (< 1 mm, 3 mm, 5 mm, 1 cm, 1.5 cm, 3 cm, 5 cm, 10 cm, and 15 cm) in the case that TTF arrays and latex-free foam were attached and not attached on the surface. Then the absorbed doses were calculated, compared, and analyzed. For the volumetric arc therapy (VMAT) of 10 GBM patients, deep dose verification was performed using the Sun Nuclear ArcCheck 3D dose verification system and the D99%, Dmean, and D1% of tumors and OARs were assessed. Results:The surface dose increased by 173% in the case that TTF arrays and latex-free foam were attached to the surface compared with the case of the surface with nothing attached. The surface dose increased by 61.7% due to the attachment of low-density latex-free foam. The dose deviation gradually decreased with an increase in the depth and stabilized (about 4%) at a depth of greater than 1.5 cm. As indicated by the VMAT verification result, the D99%, Dmean, and D1% of PTV and CTV decreased by 1.1%-1.2% and the Dmean and D1% of OARs (i.e., brainstem, pituitary gland, optic chiasma, optic nerve, eyeball, and eye crystal) decreased by 0.7%-1.5% in the case that TTF array and latex-free foam were attached on the surface compared with the case the surface with nothing attached. Conclusions:The combined radiotherapy and concurrent TTF in the GBM treatment will lead to a slight reduction of the absorbed doses of targets and OARs but a significant increase in the absorbed doses of the scalp. Therefore, it is recommended that the scalp doses should be reduced as far as possible in the design of the radiation treatment plan to reduce the adverse reactions on the scalp of GBM patients.

ABSTRACT

Purpose@#An effective biomarker for the diagnosis of breast cancer (BC) and benign breast diseases (BBD) is crucial for improving the prognosis. We investigated whether N6-methyladenosine (m6A) can be a diagnostic biomarker of BC. @*Materials and Methods@#We detected the contents of peripheral blood m6A in 62 patients with BC, 41 patients with BBD, and 41 normal controls (NCs) using the colorimetric method. The relative expression of the m6A regulated genes methyltransferase-like 14 (METTL14) and fat mass and obesity-associated (FTO) was analyzed using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. @*Results@#m6A in peripheral blood RNA was significantly higher in patients with BC than that in patients with BBD (p < 0.001) or the NCs (p < 0.001). m6A was closely associated with the disease stage (from stage 0 to stage I-IV, p=0.003). The receiver operating characteristic curve of m6A contained an area under the curve (AUC) value of 0.887 in BC, which was greater than that of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) or carbohydrate antigen 153 (CA153). The combination of m6A, CEA, and CA153 improved the AUC to 0.914. The upregulated and downregulated mRNA expression of METTL14 and FTO, respectively, might contribute to the increase of m6A in patients with BC. m6A combined with METTL14 and FTO improved the AUC to 0.929 with a specificity of 97.4% in the peripheral blood of patients with BC. @*Conclusion@#The peripheral blood RNA of m6A might be a valuable biomarker for the diagnosis of BC.

ABSTRACT

【Objective】 To analyze the influencing factors of blood re-donation among street voluntary blood donors in Nanjing, and to provide basis for increasing the proportion of blood donation/donors. 【Methods】 29 650 street voluntary blood donors in Nanjing from May 21, 2017 to May 21, 2018 in the information management system of Nanjing Red Cross Blood Center were taken as the sampling population, and 2 965 (10%) were randomly selected to ask whether they donated again and reasons by telephone calls. They were divided into re-donation group and lapsed group. The demographic variables and donation frequency of street blood donors in the two groups were analyzed and compared by Chi-square test, and multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of re-donation of blood donors. 【Results】 The response rate of this survey was 63.37% (1 879/2 965), and the re-donation rate of street blood donors in Nanjing from May 2017 to May 2018 was 40.34% (758/1 879), which was lower than the re-donation rate of global blood donors as 50%. The primary motivation for street blood donors in Nanjing to donate blood again was "help others", accounted for 62.27% (472/758), and the primary deterrent to redonate blood again was "too busy to donate blood", accounted for 49.15% (551/1 121). 【Conclusion】 There is a certain gap between the rate of blood re-donation in Nanjing and worldwide, therefore, further incentive measures are needed and flexible recruitment and blood donation methods should be adopted to facilitate blood donation for donors.

ABSTRACT

Objective: The hemoglobin, albumin, lymphocyte, and platelet (HALP) score, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are the important prognostic markers in some tumor types. This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic impact of pretreatment using HALP, NLR, and PLR for patients with small-cell lung cancer (SCLC), who were undergoing chemotherapy. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study, 335 patients with SCLC were included between 2016 and 2018. The cutoff values for HALP, NLR, and PLR were defined using X-tile software. Survival was analyzed by the Kaplan–Meier method, with differences analyzed through the log-rank test. The multivariate Cox proportional hazard model was used to evaluate the prognostic significance of HALP, NLR, and PLR for SCLC. Results: The median follow-up period was 27.1 months (range: 0.5–46.2 months). Based on the Kaplan–Meier curve analysis, it was noticed that the low pretreatment HALP (≤18.6), high pretreatment NLR (>2.4), and high PLR (>191.6) were significantly associated with worse overall survival (OS) (P = 0.009, 0.001, and 0.033, respectively). Cox multivariate analysis demonstrated that low pretreatment HALP and high pretreatment NLR were the independent prognostic factors for worse OS (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.468, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.004–2.146, P = 0.047; HR = 0.722, 95% CI: 0.542–0.960, P = 0.025, respectively). Conclusion: HALP and NLR were the independent prognostic factors of OS for SCLC patients undergoing chemotherapy

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the risk factors for acute myocardial injury in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients.@*METHODS@#This is a retrospective analysis of a COVID-19 cohort, in which 149 confirmed COVID-19 patients enrolled were divided into the group of myocardial injury (19 cases) and the group of non-myocardial injury (130 cases). Myocardial injury was defined according to Fourth universal definition of myocardial infarction released by European Society of Cardiology (ESC) in 2018, that cardiac troponin (cTn) was above 99th percentile of the reference level. Clinical information and results of laboratory tests of the eligible patients were collected. Factors associated with myocardial injury in COVID-19 patients were evaluated.@*RESULTS@#Compared with the group of non-injury, the patients in the group of injury were older and had a larger proportion of severe or critical cases (P < 0.05), higher respiratory rate and lower percutaneous oxygen saturation (SpO2) without oxygen therapy on admission (P < 0.05). All inflammatory indexes except for tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) showed significant elevation in the patients of the group of injury (P < 0.05). Analyzed by Spearman correlation test, we showed that the levels of circulatory cTnI were in positive correlation with the levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), ferritin, receptor of interleukin-2 (IL-2R), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) (ρ > 0, P < 0.05). Lower SpO2 without oxygen therapy on admission (OR: 0.860, 95%CI: 0.779-0.949, P=0.003) and higher plasma IL-6 levels (OR: 1.068, 95%CI: 1.019-1.120, P=0.006) were independent risk factors for acute myocardial injury in the patients with COVID-19 by multivariate Logistic regression analyses.@*CONCLUSION@#Hypoxic state and inflammation may play a key role in the pathogenesis of acute myocardial injury in COVID-19 patients.

ABSTRACT

The development of chemotherapy resistance significantly impairs the efficiency of chemotherapy, but the underlying mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in gastric cancer (GC) are complicated and still need to be further explored. Here, we aimed to reveal the effects of miR-4290/PDK1 (pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 1) axis on chemotherapy resistance of GC in vitro. The expression patterns of miR-4290 in GC tissues and cell lines were determined by real-time quantitative PCR. Kaplan-Meier was used to assess the relationship between miR-4290 expression levels and patients' overall survival. CCK-8 and flow cytometry technologies were applied to detect cell proliferation and apoptosis. The luciferase gene reporter assay was used to evaluate the interaction between miR-4290 and PDK1. miR-4290 was lowly expressed in GC tissues and cell lines, which was closely associated with the shorter overall survival of GC patients. miR-4290 mimics significantly inhibited cell proliferation and induced cell apoptosis, as well as induced a significant reduction in the expression of PDK1. Moreover, miR-4290 significantly inhibited glycolysis and decreased the IC50 value to cisplatin in SGC7901 cells, whereas these effects were abolished and cell apoptosis was promoted when PDK1 was overexpressed. In conclusion, this study revealed that miR-4290 suppressed PDK1-mediated glycolysis to enhance the sensitivity of GC cells to cisplatin.

ABSTRACT

Waardenburg syndrome (WS), also known as auditorypigmentary syndrome, is characterized by non-progressive sensorineural hearing loss and anomalous pigmentation. Its mode of inheritance is either autosomal dominant or autosomal recessive. So far only PAX3, MITF, SOX10 and EDNRB mutations have been identified among Chinese patients with WS. This review has provided an update for WS-related genes, mutation databases, molecular and functional data, and a discussion over the molecular diagnosis of WS.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the possible molecular mechanism of high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) 16 E6 protein in promoting the proliferation, invasion and migration of cervical cancer cells.Methods:C33A cells were infected with HPV E6 protein overexpression lentivirus to construct a stable C33A-E6 cell line. The expression of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) was detected by qRT-PCR and Western blot. Degradation rates of HSP70 at mRNA and protein levels were detected by qRT-PCR and Western blot at different time points after actinomycin D (ActD) and actinomycin ketone (CHX) treatment. Exosomes were extracted by hypervelocity centrifugation and the concentrations of HSP70 in exosomes were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The concentrations of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-10 in the supernatants of THP-1 cell culture that treated with exosomes isolated from C33A and C33A-E6 cells after interfering HSP70 expression were detected by ELISA. C33A cells were co-cultured with exosome-treated THP-1 cells to evaluate the changes in cell proliferation with CCK-8 method. The invasion and migration of C33A cells were assessed by Transwell assay. Results:Compared with the C33A cells, the expression of HSP70 at mRNA level in C33A-E6 cells was significantly increased ( P<0.05), but no significant change was observed at the protein level ( P>0.05). No significant difference in the degradation rate of HSP70 at mRNA or protein level was detected between C33A and C33A-E6 groups after treating with ActD and CHX for different times, but the concentration of HSP70 in exosomes was significantly increased in the C33A-E6 group ( P<0.001). The exosomes secreted by C33A-E6 cells could enhance the secretion of IL-6, TNF-α and IL-10 by THP-1 cells ( P<0.001), and the THP-1 cells treated with the exosomes could promote the proliferation, migration and invasion of C33A cells ( P<0.001). However, interfering the expression of HSP70 in C33A-E6 cells could significantly reduce the secretion of IL-6 and IL-10 by exosome-treated THP-1 cells, and inhibit the THP-1 cell-induced proliferation, migration and invasion of C33A cells ( P<0.001). Conclusions:High-risk HPV 16 E6 protein upregulated the level of HSP70 in the exosomes secreted by cervical cancer cells, thereby promoting the secretion of IL-6 and IL-10 by macrophages and enhancing the macrophage-induced proliferation, migration and invasion of cervical cancer cells.

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the status of knowledge, attitude and practice on echinococcosis prevention and control and investigate their influencing factors among residents living in Seda County of Sichuan Province, so as to provide a scientific basis for the further implementation of health education interventions in the county. Methods A multi-stage stratified random sampling method was employed on September 2018. Ten townships were randomly sampled, and 2 to 3 administrative villages were randomly sampled from each township. Then, 20 to 40 households were randomly sampled from each village, and 1 to 2 villagers were investigated in each household. The knowledge, attitude and practice on echinococcosis prevention and control were investigated using a household questionnaire survey, and the factors affecting the qualification of echinococcosis prevention and control knowledge were identified using chi-square test and logistic regression analysis. Results A total of 760 questionnaires were assigned, and 748 effective questionnaires were recovered, with a recovery rate of 98.42%. The overall qualification rate of echinococcosis prevention and control knowledge was 56.42% (422/748) in residents living in Seda County, and the awareness of the question “How to get echinococcosis?” was only 48.40%. The proportion of subjects with a positive attitude towards echinococcosis prevention and control was 64.71% to 94.79%, and the rate of corrected echinococcosis prevention and control behaviors was 10.40% to 82.45%. Univariate analysis showed that factors affecting the qualification rate of echinococcosis prevention and control knowledge included gender, occupation, education level, frequency of echinococcosis screening and frequency of health education (all P < 0.05), and binary logistic regression analysis showed that women, herdsmen as the primary occupation, an education level of primary school and below, absence of echinococcosis screening and absence of health education were factors responsible for the unqualified awareness of echinococcosis prevention and control knowledge (all P < 0.05). Conclusions There is a low awareness rate of echinococcosis prevention and control knowledge and a low proportion of corrected echinococcosis prevention and control behaviors in residents living in Seda County, Sichuan Province. Multiple forms of health education activities pertaining to echinococcosis prevention and control are needed with adaptation to local circumstance, and implementation of appropriate behavioral interventions is recommended.

Objective To analyze the psychological and behavioral status and influencing factors of college students during the epidemic of COVID-19 in Wuhan. Methods The students from two universities in Wuhan area were selected by stratified cluster sampling, and the self-designed questionnaires were used to conduct the online survey. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0. Results Among 3 966 college students surveyed in this study, the proportion of students in Wuhan who thought that their own infection probability was higher than others (11.25%), that their family members were more likely to be infected (15.29%), that they were very worried about their own infection (22.93%), that they were very worried about the infections in the same community (25.27%), and that their own infection risk was higher than others (9.77%), was higher than those of students in other three regions. The total incidence of depression was 27.10%. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the humanities and social science majors living in the city, worrying about the infection of themselves and their families, feeling that they had a higher chance of infection than other, being not optimistic about the epidemic situation, and thinking that the infection had a great impact on people's emotions were the risk factors of depression during the epidemic. Conclusion College students in Wuhan had psychological and behavioral problems during the COVID-19 epidemic. These problems were related to whether they were located in the epidemic area and whether they were worried about infections.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the distribution and pathogenicity of 27 HPV(Human papillomavirus)subtypes in cervical lesions.METHODS: A retrospective analysis was carried out in 5735 patients with cervical lesions admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from January 2015 to July 2017,including 997 cases of cervicitis,1568 cases of LSIL(low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion),2576 cases of HSIL(high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion)and 594 cases of cervical cancer. The HPV subtypes, histopathological results and ages were obtained for analysis.RESULTS: The positive rates of HPV in cervicitis group,LSIL,HSIL group and cervical cancer group were 57.0%,78.3%,90.5%,and 93.9%(P<0.05)respectively. The five most prevalent HPV types in cervicitis and LSIL group were 52,53,16,58 and 18;in HSIL and cervical cancer they were 16,52,58,33 and 18. The cumulative attribution rates of HPV16,18,58,52,33,31 and 45 in cervicitis,LSIL,HSIL and cervical cancer were 22.2%,38.4%,68.4% and 80.1%,respectively. The incidence of cervical cancer after HPV16,31 and 45 infection was 27.7,14.3 and8.2 times higher than that of cervicitis. Among the 36 cervical cancer tissue samples with negative HPV,8 cases were detected positive by HPV E6/E7 DNA detection.CONCLUSION: HPV16,18,58,52,33,31 and 45 have a high prevalence, cumulative attribution rates and risk values in patients with squamous intraepithelial lesions and cervical cancer. The above-mentioned subtypes of HPV should be included in the prevention and screening of cervical cancer.HPV E6/E7 DNA detection may be a reliable assay for HPV-based screening for prevention of cervical cancer.
